Hi,

It matters because I would like to know the info if an employer asks the
question of how fast is your speech since very few companies are even
willing to give the opportunity for an interview when they know you are
blind!

I can't figure out why all this matters. I can only understand what I can
understand. Besides, it depends on what you are listening to. I can read a
pleasure book a lot faster than I can read a book on Java.

	So, I don't know what the end goal of this is, but I would caution
against giving too much information about the words per minute. You can
understand what you can understand, and giving people too much information
about the rate of processing information might cause them to try to get you
to go faster. Even just figuring out how long it would take you to listen to
something can be a slippery slope. Just saying.

Maybe I was wrong, but I assumed he meant words per minute of speech rate.
If I am wrong, that would explain why my numbers were different than his.

It will ;probably depend somewhat on whether you are using Eloquence or some
other synthesizer, and will depend more on what punctuation level you are
using. Best bet is to probably find a document, determine its word count,
and do your own timing.

minute?

The speed after install is 15.

What does 15 mean in wpm?

Say if you increase to 45, would you triple the wpm or is there a different
multiplication factor?
