[nfbcs] Writing Math and Calculus Symbols on the PC

Hello Jim,
One method which may work is the Pearson accessible equation editor found at the following link: http://accessibility.pearson.com/aee/
I have not had an opportunity to play with it too much, but I vaguely remember the developer of this editor talking about the seamless integration of screen reader and braille input. You might give it a shot and see how it does. Alternatively, if it is terrible or does not do what you want it to do, I know Sam is always looking for feedback for ways to improve the user experience.
Respectfully,
Michael

Subject: [nfbcs] Writing Math and Calculus Symbols on the PC

[EXTERNAL EMAIL] WARNING: Be wise. Be cautious.

Hello to the list.
I am working with a student using a Braille Display and Jaws, and we have looked at the Math ML examples provided within the Jaws Help Topic.

So, the question, would there be a way to enter these advanced mathematical symbols from a standard computer keyboard, or, would it be more logical to use a program like Excel to generate these mathematical symbols?
Thanks for any thoughts.

Jim Fettgather
