Folks,

The Science and Engineering Division of the National Federation of the Blind is presenting a virtual meeting on how blind professionals, and blind college and graduate students, are succeeding in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The Zoom meeting will occur at 9 PM through 10 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Monday, August 24, 2020.

Topics will be of interest to blind students in middle school, high school, college, and graduate school and to professionals. Parents of blind school-aged children and educators are also welcome.

Currently, the scheduled speakers and topics are:

Kaden Colton  Using Data Analytics to Understand Fire-Atmosphere Interactions,

David Hertweck  How Does Computer Science Meet Physical Science, and

Kennedy Stomberg  Succeeding as A Blind Student in Graduate School in The Life Sciences.
