Hello Carlos,
I too would like to see this issue end. I have watched this list for nearly
three years and I think that Marion has carried himself well and has done
nothing but promote the affiliate. That is why some of the commentary coming
from the leadership to the contrary was so bizarre. Also, unless I missed
something, Mr. Harmon's tirade against Marion was basically downplayed by
the leadership because he supposedly apologized.
If you literally place the two individual threads side by side and read
them, you will notice that Marion's commentary was more of a critique of the
leadership whereas Mr. Harmon's messages were blatantly nasty and harmful
personal attacks on Marion. Apology or not, those comments were far more
disturbing for me and equally disturbing for me was the fact that the
leadership shamelessly appeared to embrace Mr. Harmon in this. As an
objective observer, there did not seem to be the slightest attempt to hide
the negative feelings toward Marion. The leadership ought to seriously
rethink the threats to ban him from the list for questioning their actions.
As you all should remember, If you allow the government to take away one
person's freedoms today, they will definitely be taking away your rights
tomorrow.
Cordially,
John
