[Nfbf-l] The 2009 NFB Convention is History!

Fellow NFB Members,

Gloria and I have returned from the 2009 NFB Convention in Detroit.

I am sure much more will be said of the convention in the days ahead, but I 
just want to let you al know that it was a great success.

The Florida Caucus was lively and well-attended. Our affiliate was 
well-represented in the March for Independence. Our Florida fundraiser, 
which involved raffling off a NetBook computer, netted nearly $600.00! We 
can all able to congratulate Manasota Chapter President Rachel Jacobs for 
winning a $5,000 NFB Scholarship. Actually, the giftbag given to all the 
scholarship winners included a lot of other neat stuff -- including a $1,000 
check from Dr. Ray Kurzweil.

Thank you all who took part and represented NFBF in such a wonderful way.
