The tax exemption for blind residents is different from one area to another. 
Here it is $110 a year.

However in New Hampshire it was 25,000 off your assessed value.  I think 
each person should check out their county status.

I didn't get an eye exam for the purpose of the exemption because the exam 
would cost more then I would save but since I was going in for an eye exam 
anyway, I brought the paper work.
