Hi Sherri,
Thanks for sending this message on to the list. Like Marion, I don't
remember getting it either. I suppose I did and it may have gotten lost when
I began transferring e-mail folders from my old system to the new. But then
again, who knows?

Dave

Marion and all,

This is the message from Scott White that he sent Sabrina, which she passed
on to us when she first heard of these changes.

Subject: NFB-NEWSLINE local phone numbers in your state

  03/06/09

  Good Day,

I am writing to alert you that on March 15, 2009 we will be losing 128
local NFB-NEWSLINE phone numbers due to our local phone number provider not
offering service in several states. Slightly over half of the numbers that
we will be losing have a small amount of minute traffic on them and persons
using these numbers should use the 888-882-1629 phone number.

There are 59 phone numbers that we will be losing that have a significant
amount of minute traffic and I am working to identify a solution for this
problem that will still offer us the cost savings that we have enjoyed in
the past.

On March 15, 2009, a subscriber calling into any of the effected 128 local

phone numbers will get a service not available message.

I have listed the effected area codes and states below.
Note: A particular area code may have more than one local phone number.

  Alabama: 4
  205 Alabama
  251 Alabama
  256 Alabama
  334 Alabama

  Florida: 7
  239 Florida
  352 Florida

  912 Georgia

  Louisiana: 5

  337 Louisiana
  504 Louisiana
  985 Louisiana

  Mississippi: 3
