Congratulations on your new guide dog, Sherrill. Fallon sounds amazing! I am
certainly looking forward to some updates and tales of misadventures <smile>.

Subject: [Nfbf-l] FW: homecoming

ello all,
I wanted to let everyone know that my new guide Fallon and I arrived home on
hursday to Tampa from the Seeing Eye. We took a walk around the
eighborhood yesterday. Fallon is a little girl, only 51 pounds. She's a
ellow Lab, and has a very cute pink nose. She's a jumper, or, as I call
er, a Tigger. So we'll be diligently working to eliminate that behavior!
Though I still miss my Merry dog, it is truly a joy to have a dog in the
ouse once again.
I had a fabulous experience at the Seeing Eye! The staff is so very caring
nd professional. I'm glad I decided to return there, even though the last
ime I went was in 1980!
She did well on her first plane flight, by the way, only sitting up and
utting her head in my lap when we took off. She's small enough that I had
o trouble sliding her under the seat. The flight attendant didn't even ask
f I wanted to sit in a bulkhead seat, so that was good.
We had a full class of 24 students, and passed a cold around, but at least
t wasn't the flu! There were only 3 first timers.
I'll probably post now and then about how things are going, and give you
pdates about our misadventures (smile.)
Sherrill and Fallon
