Hi Sherrill,
Well, it is so good to have you back in sunny Florida along with your new
little girl. I already told the NFBF Board that I will be rooming with you
in Washington so Davey and Fallon will no doubt become good friends. Of
course, Fallon is such a young little thing. By the way, how old is she? I
can't wait to meet her. I've thought of you so often but never could seem to
find a good time to call because your schedule was so busy at the Seeing
Eye. I adore that school and have received three fabulous dogs from there.
As you said, TSE is a first class operation and I have made some really good
friends on the staff.
Did you take Fallon to church with you today? Let me know how that went.
I'm headed for Atlanta on Wednesday and will not return until December
first. You can always reach me on my cell though.

Welcome home!

Love you,

Kathy

Hello all,

I wanted to let everyone know that my new guide Fallon and I arrived home on
Thursday to Tampa from the Seeing Eye. We took a walk around the
neighborhood yesterday. Fallon is a little girl, only 51 pounds. She's a
yellow Lab, and has a very cute pink nose. She's a jumper, or, as I call
her, a Tigger. So we'll be diligently working to eliminate that behavior!

Though I still miss my Merry dog, it is truly a joy to have a dog in the
house once again.

I had a fabulous experience at the Seeing Eye! The staff is so very caring
and professional. I'm glad I decided to return there, even though the last
time I went was in 1980!

She did well on her first plane flight, by the way, only sitting up and
putting her head in my lap when we took off. She's small enough that I had
no trouble sliding her under the seat. The flight attendant didn't even ask
if I wanted to sit in a bulkhead seat, so that was good.

We had a full class of 24 students, and passed a cold around, but at least
it wasn't the flu! There were only 3 first timers.

I'll probably post now and then about how things are going, and give you
updates about our misadventures (smile.)

Sherrill and Fallon
