[Nfbf-l] question about internship and Division of Blindservices

Hello Holly and all. thank you so much for so many useful responses. I
joined the DBS system pretty late in life. I came to US to study at UCF and
I thought I would get teaching jobs without their help. but the response of
the community colleges in Orlando has been terrible and I have opened up for
some nonteaching opportunities. I now have to work seriously on the
employment front after the twins.

My counselor never told me what all I could ask for. Or probably I did not
know how to ask for all the information. Today is his last day at DBS. So he
decided not to work on my internship questions and left on my next
counselor. He said my would-be counselor and his supervisor will meet in the
middle of next week to decide on this case. I am not sure if I should start
looking for airtickets. If they decide against supporting my internship, I
will have to pay a whole lot more extra. If I book the ticket now, do you
think they will reimburse me if they decide to support the internship?

Holly, when you say maintenance, how do they decide how much to pay? What
all can we ask support for under maintenance? Sorry, few things that sound
obvious are still not known to me.

Best regards

Tara
