Hello Samme,

Happy New Year. As a reminder you and I worked together last year regarding
the Assisitve Technology Industry Association's annual conference in
Orlando.

We are again holding a conference there, and I am hoping that either you, or
someone to whom you can refer me, can help me make sure that as many people
as possible in your area are aware that they can attend the conference for
free. In addition, we are also helping with a travel stipend for local
groups that would like to attend (such as from senior centers, etc.).

Below my signature are the pertinent details about the conference. I've also
attached the document in a format that can be printed of PDF'd for your
convenience.

Please email with specific questions you might have and please let me know
what else I might do to make this conference our most successful in Orlando
yet.

Thanks so much, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Shawn-Laree

Hello Samme,

Thanks so much for speaking with me regarding the Assistive Technology
Industry Association (ATIA) and our desire to have someone from the Orange
County Office for People with Disabilities kick off one of the days of
ATIA's conference in Orlando at the end of this month (Thurs, Jan 28, or
Fri, Jan 29). www.atia.org

As we discussed, ATIA has been holding its conference in Orlando for more
than 10 years. ATIA is a not-for-profit membership organization of
manufacturers, sellers and providers of technology-based assistive devices
and/or services which represents the interests of its members to business,
government, education, and the many agencies that serve people with
disabilities.

Its mission is to serve as the collective voice of the Assistive Technology
industry so that the best products and services are delivered to people with
disabilities. In conjunction with its conferences, ATIA holds a Leadership
Forum and Workshop on Accessibility which provides corporations, government
agencies, and higher educational institutions with the information needed to
expand their accessibility efforts. ATIA Orlando will be held January 27-30,
2010.

I would love to discuss having the commissioner from your office or some
other high-ranking member of your office, open the conference either Thurs,
Jan 28 or Fri, Jan 29 with a short 5-minutes or so speech.

Thanks so much for your time, and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Best regards,

Shawn-Laree
