RJ, I have to say, it is hard for many to conceive this as reality. I have
to admit, I was a none believer before witnessing and learning the
interface computer program for this vehicle and have definetely changed my
views! It is possible, and it will be reality soon. Perhaps not in our
lifetime, but I can now see blinded individuals actually independantly
drive themselves where they need to go! So, until we can sell and convince
the sighted world as well as our national andstate legislators that this is
a safe solution for the blind to solve our transportation problems. The
really nice thing I see at least is that it will be solved by ourselves, not
by government monies! So, to the ney sayers, I just have to say that I can
understand how you feel like you do, as I was with you prior to actually
seeing this vehicle operate, look at the gloves and the seat pad in the
vehicle, talk to the computer genious's that developed and implemented their
teams concepts into reality, I now understand it so much better and
have most defenitely am believe! Paul and Joann When our president
(Kennedy) wanted to go to the moon, we had our brightest and best develop a
vehicle to get us there and fast! from a simple desire from our President
to landing we did it! People still to this day think it was just a deseption
by our government rather than reality, so why is it so hard for us to get
our brightest and best working on this and making it a reality as well! Now,
I am not advocating for the NFB on this project but the project itself,
let me make that quite clear. I am a true advocate for the blind before
anything! Whether good ideas come from the ACB, the BVA, or the NFB, to me
it doesn't really matter as long as it is able to improve the lives of our
blind sisters and brothers! Paul, as you know, I have always been for the
people and their needs first and the organizations second! KH

Dr. Maurer and some others set this whole thing up. Don't you think he knew
how the course was laid out before the event? I mean come on And don't you
think if their was something he didn't like about it, do you think he would
have allowed the event to continue? No!! Stop wining about this access crap,
and be glad that at least a blind man did something a sighted person didn't
think he could do that is drive!
