LYNX to Host Public Workshops for Proposed December Service Changes
ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 6, 2011) - The Central Florida Regional
Transportation Authority (LYNX) has scheduled public workshops Sept. 12 - 17 to
introduce changes that will include new Xpress service from Bithlo, St. Cloud and
Kissimmee.
The Xpress buses would provide limited-stop service to downtown Orlando
from the Bithlo Park N Ride lot in East Orlando, the Shady Lane Park N Ride
lot in St. Cloud and the Osceola Square Mall in Osceola County.
Additional changes are being proposed for 14 existing routes, including
Links 8, 20, 21, 25, 37, 42, 44, 46E, 46W, 48, 103, 443, 641 and FastLink
17-92.
The workshops are an opportunity for the public to view these initiatives
and to offer comment. The proposal will be brought to the LYNX Board of
Directors, who will vote on it at their meeting Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. in the LYNX
Central Station 2nd Floor Board Room.
If the proposal is passed, the changes will become effective Dec. 4.

NEW SERVICE
· Xpress 212 - Bithlo/Downtown Orlando Express (Orange County) -
Minimal stops along Colonial Drive from Bithlo to Waterford Lakes then
non-stop service to LYNX Central Station (LCS) along SR 408.
· Xpress 213 - Kissimmee/Downtown Orlando Express (Osceola
County/Orange County) - Minimal stop service from Osceola Square Mall on U.S.
192 to SR 535 then non-stop service to downtown Orlando on I-4. Will serve
the Orlando Health campus. The route will end at LCS.
· Xpress 214 - St. Cloud/Downtown Orlando Express (Osceola
County/Orange County) - Non-stop service from the Shady Lane Park N Ride in St.
Cloud to downtown Orlando along the Florida Turnpike and I-4. Will serve
the Orlando Health campus. The route will end at LCS.
ADJUSTED SERVICE:
* Link 8 - West Oak Ridge Road/International Drive (Orange County) -
Alternate routing south of SeaWorld. New routing options are either
Central Florida Parkway to International Drive or Central Florida Parkway to
Westwood Boulevard to International Drive.
* FastLink 17-92 - Sanford/Downtown Orlando (Seminole County/Orange
County) - Adjusting start time of 6:25 a.m. trip to 6:30 a.m. to improve
connection options in Sanford.
* Link 20 - Malibu Street/Pine Hills (Orange County) - Sunday
schedule times will be adjusted.
* Link 21 - Universal Studios (Orange County) - Schedule times to
LCS will be adjusted.
* Link 25 - Mercy Drive/Shader Road (Orange County) - Schedule times
will be adjusted.
* Link 37 - Pine Hills/Florida Mall (Orange County) - Schedule times
will be adjusted.
* Link 42 - International Drive/Orlando International Airport
(Orange County) - Route will end at Destination Parkway.
* Link 44 - Hiawassee Road/Zellwood (Orange County) - Schedule times
will be adjusted.
* Link 46E - Central Florida Regional Hospital/Downtown Sanford
(Seminole County) - Route will begin at Seminole Centre.
* Link 46W - West SR 46/Seminole Towne Center (Seminole County) -
