>> Hello everyone,
>> Just wanted to pass along this information. The Florida Rehab Council for the Blind (FRC) will be holding their quarterly business meeting on February 11th from 8:30am-4:30pm here in Tallahassee, FL at the Double Tree Hotel. The FRC is the council that reviews, analyzes & advises on the policy decisions and evaluates the effectiveness of the Florida Division of Blind Services to ensure meaningful access to and use of vocational rehabilitation and independent living programs for Floridians who are blind or visually impaired. If you are interested, the meetings are open and our very own Lenora Marten is on the agenda! The following day, February 12th from 9am-12pm the Florida Vision Summit will take place on the 22nd floor of Florida Capitol Building. The Vision Summit is an event where legislators, state officials, non-profits and others get together to discuss issues facing persons who are blind and visually impaired. If you would like to attend please contact Kim Foster at (850) 570-2148 or email Kimberly at FAASB.org to register or to request special accommodations. I have attached the agenda and meeting information for the FRC meeting. Please feel free to pass along this information to others. Hope to see you there!
