Dear Friends,
The National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska invites you to join us for
a day of empowerment as we walk together to show that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future.
This event raises funds to support the work of the Nebraska affiliate,
including advocacy, education, and programs that promote independence and
opportunity for blind individuals across the state.
Event Details
Each chapter and/or division will hold its Walk for Independence on either
October 4 or October 5, 2025. Locations: Omaha, Lincoln, Kearney
Local Walk Information
* Lincoln Chapter
Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Holms Lake, 70th and Van Dorn
* Student Division
Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025
Time: Noon
Location: University Suites, 1780 R Street
* Omaha Chapter
Date: Sunday, October 5, 2025
Time: Noon
Location: Gene Leahy Mall, 10th and Douglas Street
* At-Large Chapter
Date: Sunday, October 5, 2025
Time: Noon
Location: Kearney Public Library, 2020 1st Avenue
Registration
Registration fee is $25.
If you collect $100 or more in donations, your registration fee will be
waived.
