Greetings Members and Friends!

We are officially ONE MONTH away from the 2026 National Federation of the
Blind of Nebraska State Convention, and the excitement is building!

One of the highlights of our time together in Kearney is always the door
prizes and live auction. These moments bring energy, laughter, and
connection to our convention and they help support the important work we do
all year long. We need your help to make them a success.

As you prepare for convention, please consider bringing a door prize or
auction item to donate.

Door prizes should be small in size but large in value. Many attendees
travel with limited space, so items that are easy to transport home are
especially appreciated. Think practical, meaningful, and easy to carry.

The same idea applies to auction items. Unique, creative, and high-value
items are always a hit. This year, to keep the auction moving, engaging, and
fun, some items may be grouped together into packages. Our auction team will
organize items in the way that creates the best experience for everyone.

Please note that the auction and door prize team will have the final say in
determining whether an item is used as a door prize or placed in the
auction.

Gift cards and cash are always wonderful options-especially from businesses
that can be found across the state-so that everyone can enjoy and use them.

We have attached a door prize and auction letter that you can share with
local businesses to gather donations in your community.

Please drop off all door prize and auction items at the registration area
upon arrival to convention, and ensure each item is clearly labeled in
braille; if you need assistance creating braille labels, members will be
available at registration, but items must be organized and ready to be
labeled. Thank you for your help with this!

We truly appreciate every donation. Your generosity helps make our
convention memorable, fun, and impactful for all who attend.

We cannot wait to be together in Kearney in just one month!
