[NFBN-Announce] News of the Passing of a Friend of the Federation

Hello All,

 

I recently learned of the passing of Oscar Becerra in January. Oscar was a
former scholarship winner from Omaha. Below is his obituary information.
Please keep Oscars family in your thoughts and prayers.

 

Oscar Becerra

January 31, 1998  -  January 18, 2026

Oscar was a kind and gentle soul who brought light and joy to everyone
around him. He loved being the life of the party and had a contagious smile
that could brighten any room. In his spare time, Oscar enjoyed watching WWE,
collecting Hot Wheels, and building LEGO creations.

 

Oscar cherished time spent with his family and friends, who meant everything
to him. He also spent meaningful time at the Commission for the Blind, where
he formed some of his most treasured friendships. He never allowed obstacles
to define him, his strength, perseverance, and loving heart inspired all who
knew him.

 

One of the purest souls, Oscar was deeply loved and will be forever
remembered by everyone whose life he touched. He was the best son and an
incredible big brother.
