Are you a rising high school Junior or Senior interested in taking college
level STEM-H related classes?

Are you interested in a college experience with engaging classes taught by
college professors and/or graduate students at Virginia Commonwealth
University ("VCU")?

Are you ready to increase your use of alternative skills used by successful
blind and low vision college students and adults, and enhance your awareness
of the academic and blindness-related demands of college?

Would you like to evaluate your ability to manage time and priorities in a
real world college environment?

 

If you answered yes to these questions, you are ready for Learning
Excellence and Academics Program ("LEAP") at the Virginia Rehabilitation
Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired ("VRCBVI") in Richmond, Virginia.

 

This 5 week program which VRCBVI offers in collaboration with VCU is free
for qualifying participants, but you must apply right away to meet the April
18 deadline while space is still available.  Students reside in the dorm at
VRCBVI, and spend their days at VCU taking classes.  The program runs from
July 10, 2016, to August 11, 2016, and culminates with a graduation ceremony
at VCU (MCV Campus).
