[Nfbv-announce] Fwd: [NFBV-Alexandria] Greater Alexandria Chapter voted into VA affiliate

Hello,



I just wanted to share with everyone the news that on Saturday, the
Virginia affiliate board voted in favor of admitting the Greater Alexandria
Chapter as its newest chapter of the affiliate. The chapter’s adopted
constitution was accepted by the board as well.



I wanted to thank everyone for their efforts toward making the dream of a
new chapter a reality.



I think we are off to a great start. Or should I say a “fabulous” start?



I am calling for a meeting of the chapter board on Thursday, May 25, at
7:30pm. I will send out instructions for how to join and a proposed agenda
in a separate cover. We hope to have our first community activity in late
June, and I will also propose to the board that we have our next regular
meeting on Thursday, July 27.
