Life

Hello everyone,

I am pleased to share a story about DBVI/VRCBVI that was featured on Channel
12 here in Richmond last evening (see link below.)  One of our students,
Cynthia, successfully pulled off a surprise for her O and M instructor by
nominating her for the Acts of Kindness Award which was presented by Channel
12 at our staff meeting last Friday.  I am also attaching the letter of
nomination she submitted to Channel 12.  I am truly humbled by the
opportunity to work with individuals who, on a daily basis, transform lives
from despair to empowerment.  This story is a reflection of the hundreds, if
not thousands, of lives all of you touch and transform.  Make no mistake
about it, the work you do makes a difference.  I had the honor of seeing
that last week at the Take Charge event and then at our staff meeting on
Friday, as well as witnessing countless daily victories.  Thank you for all
you do!
