The below research participant solicitation is being provided for
informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no
involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our
research mission.

Researchers from the University of Iowa Department of Computer Science are
inviting people who identify as blind or low vision, and at least 18-years
old, to participate in an online survey to rate whether written
descriptions of artwork provided by sighted people are accessible to people
who are blind or have low vision. This survey will take no longer than 30
minutes. Our long-term goal is to develop technologies to help improve art
exploration for people who are blind or have low vision. You will be paid
$5 in the form of an Amazon gift card for participating. Please do not post
about this survey on social media. Due to funding constraints, we are
limited to 50 survey respondents.

If you have questions, please contact Kyle Rector at kyle-rector at uiowa.edu
or 503-449-1736.
