Hi Lillie and all, 

We can and should address the specifics at the fundraising meetings, but
here is my initial thought.  

If we're going to offer bigger prizes ($100 for 1st place, $50 or $75 for
second, and $50 for third), we can put the gift cards into "package" deals.
It reminds me of one of those coupon books that some high school
organizations sell, where you spend $10 on a book that has like $200 or $300
in coupons to various places.  It seems silly to raffle off $10 gift cards
as individual prizes, and making bigger packages of prizes would make the
deal sweeter for prospective buyers.  

Also, I think this raffle should be open to everyone, including division
members.  So, if you want to invest a few bucks for a shot at a prize, go
for it!  

Just my initial thoughts, we'll see what fundraising comes up with for the
definitive answer.

This is awesome.
I probably should wait to address this on the call on Friday, but while it
is on my mind I will ask it here. 
I know it was talked about having a first, second, and third place winner.
Will we have a number of winners equal to the number of gift cards donated? 
Also, are there any rules against members of this devision buying tickets?

Kaiti,

I just want to let you know that at our February chapter meeting Capital
chapter voted to donate a $10 Papa John's card and a $10 Bob Evans card to
your division fundraiser. We will order these from Scrip in March. Eric and
I will also make a contribution from Scrip. I haven't figured out what our
contribution will be but I want to match our chapter's donation. 

 

I have commitments for 5 books of tickets at this point. Working on getting
more sales.
