Hello Nella,

Hmmm, I never thought about it but the bad economy is probably causing 
people to sell their horses and tack.

Our local tack shop does sell nice used equipment and they guarantee that 
the saddle tree is in good condition etc.  they sell Dakota saddles which 
are about $800 new.  they seem OK.  Nothing fancy but who needs fancy.

I also saw a synthetic saddle made out of cordura for $200 which would be 
great as a spare.
