[Blind-Gov] Regarding accessing IRS account

I made the call to the phone numbered that was given earlier but could only leave a message. May not get that call for a while. I did, however, searched for some information on the website and learned that I could let them know that I could not respond to notices from the IRS mailed to me in print but I haven't found out how to go about that.
I have been trying to file for an extension to file because of some unresolved issues I have with making payments on back taxes. I am unable to retrieve a transcript with the information on it because I can't access the account.
Still trying to make that deadline by tomorrow.

Try calling the IRS Alternative Media Center:
833-690-0598
Although they deal mainly with making tax forms accessible, they may be able to help with this.
Regards,
Daniel

Subject: [Blind-Gov] Regarding accessing IRS account
Hello,
I have a problem, attempting to access my account with IRS because it now requires that you use ID.me.
I have made several attempts to set up an account using ID.me but I have not been successful. I even tried setting it up with visual assistance from someone. It is always a problem with answering in my ID information and the photo copy of my information.
Can anyone tell me if there is a better way? I need to get into my account ASAP!
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Anita Ogletree
