[blindkid] Tactile Color for designing maps or better ideas?

Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone has tips on anything better to illustrate places on a map, other than using Tactile colour (from Canada).  My limits of tactile graphic making are, whatever I can make without a teroform machine.  But I do have the tactile graphics kit and the stencil embossing kit from APH.
