[blindLaw] Do any of you use ZoomText or fusion?

I would concur with the Lenovo and HP computers.  I am a Zoomtext user and have had great success with Lenovo computers at home and HP computers at work.

Agree RE the quality of Dell computers lately. I have an HP Spectre X360 and
it is wonderful! I've had it for five years and it's still going strong with
no issues. The Dell I have for work is definitely more sluggish, and its
sound drivers  cause issues with JAWS after each and every sound driver
update. When this happens, I have to tinker with sound settings. I highly
recommend investing in HP or Lenovo computers.

Adding that Dell products and the company have been on a bit of a decline
right now. HP currently makes better computers and peripherals. Moreover, it
is often possible to open up the laptop and add in more memory. Memory
itself is relatively inexpensive, and IT support should have someone on
staff who can work with the hardware. I requested my law school's IT to do
exactly this, among other things.

In addition to upgrading internet, you may also consider using a wired
connection when feasible, like completing assignments at home. Power not
expended on maintaining a wireless connection can be used for other things.

Agree with this. Plus, craigslist and ebay have good deals on computers all
the time. With the supply chain shortages, this might be the best bet right
now.
