Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. We were able to get the AGC to
complete a function of x^4.

I just opened AGC, put in a range 0.1 to 10 with 500 points, put x^(1/2) in
the data set, pressed Enter to compute it, then pressed F5 to play the
graph. It worked but sounded kind of dull. So I pressed F6 to play it with
(vertical axis) tick marks. I could visualize it pretty well.

When the student typed in the expression the AGC evaluated the expression
but would not play the graph.

Yes of course AGC will plot the square root of x, but you need to exclude
zero and negative x, because the square root of those are not defined. Well
are not real numbers anyhow.

If you want to see the graph on screen, press F3 or go to the menus to turn
on visual graph.

Hello,

Does the Audio Graphing Calculator 3.0 have the ability to graph the square
root of x? The program would allow my student to type the expression into
data set 1, but a graph would not appear.

Thank you for your assistance with this program.
