[Blindmath] LaTeX got mad or am I that silly?

Hi Dan,

The z character definitely had a dot above it, and it was definitely Unicode 017C.

How it got there, I have idea. If JAWS only said it was the letter z - that's even more confusing.

Are you aware that if you place your cursor immediately after a character, then hold down the Alt key and press the letter x, it will give you the Unicode value on screen? Press Alt + x again, and it will toggle back to the letter.

George.

Hi all,
Nadir! Thanks a lot for the offer. It is kind of you but luckily I managed to create the document I needed with LaTeX.
Could be this BOM, as when I started a simple txt file it was all ok.
So what is this thing both George and Nadir mentioned about dot z? Is this in the error code for you? I didn't use anything like that when typing the code, nor JAWS reads that in the error msg.

Thanks,
Dan
