If you're totally blind, the only graphing calculator you can use is the Orion TI 84 or some model number near that. I can't remember the exact model number, but you would have to order it through EPH. There's also another program called the audio graphing calculator, which I wouldn't recommend. It is very primitive and difficult to use, and their options there much easier to use like a program called math tracks, which you can get for free. Also, you can put formulas into XL and use that. I believe you can put the binomial formula and XO, which I wish I had known when I had taken the class because I had to do it by hand. If you have some vision, you can just use the same Calculator as the students in your class and plug it into a video magnifier I believe. As for learning how to use it, it should come with a built-in tutorial. Also, it might be best not to tell your teacher that you don't have a graphing calculator until you were already registered and it's too late to change anything assuming this is the case. I say this because when I was in that situation, my teacher used the fact that I didn't have a graphing calculator and decided students did too say that I was at a significant disadvantage and shouldn't take the class. I went to statistics with my classmates, but my name was enrolled in independent study math. I was doing the same work that they were, but not getting the AP credit because my teacher was wrong. I was still able to do the work without a graphing calculator. I had to fight for a whole semester but I finally got into the class.
