[BlindMath] FW: MathPlayer Braille Display Issues

FYI...

For English, MathPlayer has three different speech styles. MathSpeak is one
of those styles and ClearSpeak is another. gh worked with Dr. Nemeth
on codifying/clarifying
the rules
<http://www.gh-mathspeak.com/examples/grammar-rules/index.php?verbosity=all&rule=0>,
and I worked with gh to deal with some cases not covered by the rules when
implementing them in MathPlayer.

In general, MathSpeak was designed by Dr. Nemeth so that he and other
Nemeth code users could easily convert the speech to Nemeth braille (and
vice-versa). ClearSpeak and MathPlayer's other speech style (SimpleSpeech)
were designed to be easier for most people to understand by being closer to
what teachers use in the classroom.

In working with gh, Dr. Nemeth did compromise some on simplicity of speech.
E.g., instead of "x super 2 baseline", MathSpeak says the more common "x
squared". However, in many cases, things like "super super" to indicate
that a superscript is in a superscript remain because that's what is used
in Nemeth code. That is likely confusing to those not versed in Nemeth code
though.

Sincerely,

Neil Soiffer
