[BlindMath] Thoughts on Using IDEs (was C++ IDE)

Very interesting feedback from other experienced programmers. I was, of
course, addressing beginner programmers.

Hi Louis. Thanks for your reply. I really don't know what to say. I've
never had to work in an environment where every one else is much more
productive because they are using a tool I can't use and I can't find or
develop effective alternatives.

Hi Doug. Thanks for the info. I use Java, not C++. However it does seem
that Visual Studio for Windows 10 supports both its own command-line type
option and a sophisticated IDE. I hope one or both of these options turn out
to be useful for you.

As a matter of historical interest, when I was still working our team's
entire source was something like 100,000 lines in a single file. Even many
years ago, a file that size could be searched easily and quickly with a text
editor on the supercomputers of the time. I thought it was a step backwards
when we moved to Unix and multiple separate files.
