Household blindness specific things that I use include:
talking alarm clock
talking bathroom scale
talking caller ID, I have the Panasonic phone sold by ILA
braille measuring cups
and lots of labels or tactile indicators on regular appliances

I'd really like to own:
a talking microwave oven
a washer/dryer without 101,000 options accessed only through menus
and
a DVD player that is easily usable without a degree in rocket science

Of course I have and use other blindness gadgets, but I tried to think
of things that are more oriented to household use rather than personal use.

HTH and congratulations!
Julie
