I think Dave gave good advice. We bought all our appliances from a local,
family run company and besides great sales people, thy had a great deal on
repairs too. You might get a discount of some sort if you dicker. Some of
these places will give free in town delivery and take out the old one.
Triangle where we bought from disposed of the old appliance for free also.
These smaller places tend to have people that actually know more than just
the info on the info sheet above the appliance. It would be easier to get
good help at smaller businesses. At box stores they don't really know
anything more than you do about the sturdiness, wear and easy of use that
you get at the other places. Smaller businesses have them all out on the
floor where you can easily touch everything. They might have a "try before
you buy program" even.
