hi,

shoe-goo is great.
you would squeeze some deep into the separation and have a paper towel ready
to wipe off what comes out the edges when you use some strong rubber bands
to hold it together.
the small amount stuck on your fingers may wipe off or will eventually fall
off when you rub your hands together.
