[BlindTlk] What happens to people that are born blind when they become adults? I need to be this specific.

I had the same thing. Born blind? Blind since birth? It doesn't make any
difference whether you were blind when you came out of the womb
, because you were blinded so soon after that, it's about the same thing.
Pam.

I wasn't "born blind". I was premature and received too much oxygen, so,
have been blind since birth. I attended public school. I live on Long
Island and when I attended school, they had just started mainstreaming. I
got a job working for town government. I got it on my own, not through our
commission for the blind. Part of the reason why some blind people don't
work is due to lack of transportation. I was lucky enough to be able to walk
to and from my job.
