Hello Vanessa,
The advice you received from Jo Elizabeth is right on target.  She is right;
every new mom needs help breast feeding whether they are blind or sighted.
Some women and their babies get used to this process immediately; for others
it takes longer. This is a very personal decision, so I would encourage you
to take classes, read, and learn about both options before making your
decision. You need to do what is right for you--not right for anyone else.
If you are uncomfortable with the thought of breast feeding, then your
experience probably will not be positive. Be assured though that if you do
decide to breast feed many blind moms have done it before you and we will do
all we can to offer advice and encouragement to you.
Melissa
