[blparent] finding time

Nikki, At the time we had Gab, we had been married 16 years and we were so happy to have the chance to have a child. It never feels like I gave up anything, on the contrary, we just added to our life. We had so much time together before she came, that adding her into our lives was easy.
What was hard, was getting her bag ready when we went somewhere. What was hard, was her time was different than ours. But after a few weeks, we figured it out.
Having a child should never be a sacrifice, but a warm and wonderful addition.

Subject: [blparent] finding time

For the single moms or dads, how do you find the time to do things for yourself? Do you have to give, sacrifice every moment of the day to your children? For the new parents, is it hard to give up your freedom, if it was unplanned? How do you compensate and are still able to get things done or do things for you as if the children didn’t exist, like life beforehand? How do you make life easier?
