Tammy:
I think you could do it without the insert. You'd have to sinch it up really 
tight so her head didn't have a lot of wiggle room. I'd put it on your 
front, put her in facing you (tummy to tummy), froggy her little legs, and 
maybe even put a small rolled blanket on the bottom so the pocket isn't as 
deep.
