Hi,

Have you tried a stroller with a reversable handle like the peg perego Venesia or graco Flip it?  They’re both fairly big, but you can pull both easily, and they will both fold down on a bus.  I know you said you don’t like using a backpack on the bus, but you could use a carrier like the ergo that goes on either front, side or back to carry your little one as well.  The ergo is great because it doesn’t have a frame so it’s not too heavy or bulky, and unlike other carriers it doesn’t feel like you’re child’s just hanging there by his crotch, they’re sitting in a pouch kind of seat which seems comfortable for my little guy who’s now almost 40 pounds and still likes to ride in it.

Currently I have been carrying my daughter in a front facing backpack but she is starting to become too heavy for it and now we need an alternative way to get around with her when we go out.  Both her dad and I are totally blind and travel on buses and walk long distances, so a standard stroller is out of the question.  The strollers that we have seen have stationary back wheels and the front ones can swivel so when you pull it behind you the stroller fishtails all over the place and we don't like the fact she will be facing away from us.  We need something that can be easily taken on the buses without being too much of a hassle.  Unfortunately most of the backpacks for hikers are too big and bulky for bus travel.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
