[blparent] Cloth Diapers Anyone?

I'm just going by what I've been told by moms at baby play groups I go to
because according to most of them they just toss their baby's cloth diapers
right into the wash if they aren't on solids yet where the poop is more
solid. I just thought that to be a lot of poop going into the washer even
if it isn't solid stool. A few of the moms did mention how they use a
special spray nozzle that connects to their toilet but most of them admitted
to just tossing the pale of poopy diapers right into the washer. If you
rinsed your baby's diapers before going into the washer than that would be a
much cleaner way of doing it.

Right--I was just going to say that. the actual poo is flushed down the
toilet--I don't think anyone would want piles of poop swimming around in
their laundry. I felt I needed to add to this because at some point during a
child's babyhood, they dirty some of their articles of clothing--whether it
be a onesie, a pair of shorts or even a towel.

Once I decided to leave my boy'd diaper off after a bath and made the
mistake of feeding him while in just a towel. Well, you imagine what
happened when he decided to have a nice comfortable poo during his meal. My
point is, I wasn't under any circumstances oing to throw the towel into the
laundry as it was. I first made sure to handwash it and soak it in oxy till
there was virtually no excrement on it. That's what I imagine people do
when using cloth diapers. I don't think anyone throws them in their wash
with all the contents without taking some steps to clean it out by hand
before it goes into the machine.
