[blparent] Breast feeding

To my knowledge, there's nothing you can do to stimulate breast milk
during pregnancy. Eating healthy can't hurt, but it's no guarantee. Some
women do begin lactating early, and often these women will begin
pumping, but most of us have to just wait. Once you deliver, they often
will try to get baby to latch on and nurse right away even though most
babies aren't quite hungry or ready, but it helps stimulate milk
production for mommy, and introduces baby to nippling right away.

As I can attest too though, some women, for various reasons, may not
produce enough or, as in my case, not at all. Work closely with a
lactation specialist and follow what they recommend, and you should be
fine. If, like me, things don't go according to plan, don't be too
negative. Focus on baby and what the next step is. But I wouldn't worry
much about it because most women can produce at least enough to breast
feed for a time. My case isn't exactly standard.

Sincerely,

Is there the way to increase breast feeding chanses while pregnant? Can
I
do anything now, like massage or supplements or something? My OB says
there
is nothing I can do while pregnant, but any way, dear moms, what do you

think or know about it?
