LOL, my kids have exactly the same problem... Even now that they are bigger.
They need the length of bigger pants, but have no wastes to speak of...
Elizabeth might have inherited my big butt though, so perhaps she'll be the
one who breaks this trend.
I've been lucky to have friends who can sew. They put some stitching in the
waiste band of the pants so they fit better. It's called a tuck. It's tight
enough that it doesn't come out, but loose enough that you can rip it out if
needed. I'm sure I could learn to do this type of sewing, and probably
should one of these days so I can make these tucks myself.

Yes, lots of wash rags for baby and towels. We have six towels and a ton of
wash rags.
Declan was born 8 pounds, 13 ounces, so he barely fit newborn clothes.
However, he continues to grow in length, but he's super skinny. At seven
months, he's only 14 pounds, which is on the bottom of normal. We have a
huge problem with clothes because 3 to 6 months usually fits him, but just,
but 6 to 9 months are huge on him. Most pants are big in the waist, but most
outfits are sold as sets, so we can't get a smaller pant to fit his damn,
skinny waist, grin.

Hi gloria,
I'd buy a bunch of onesies, some more sleep-and-plays, and I'd make sure to
buy a few smaller items in case yoru baby is smaller than expected. I had to
deal with that, and I didnt' have enough premee clothes, which was kind of
unfortunate, since my son, who was not actualy a primie was born at four
pounds, thirteen ounces. don't go nuts with outfits though. You can always
get more later.
Buy burp cloths, wash cloths, cloth diapers if you'll use those, if not,
then get some disposable diapers in size newborn or one. Make sure to buy
clothes that will be fitting for the season in which yoru baby will be born
if you live in an area where the climate varies depending on season. For
instance, my son was born in february so I had a snow suit ready for him
for the transport from the hospital.
That's all I can think of for now.
Bernadetta
