[blparent] Inaccessible Ovulation Tests and Pregnancy Tests

A couple of years ago NFB passed a resolution about making home health care
equipment accessible.  It was inspired by the blind mother of a preemie who
had to take him home from the hospital on a heart monitor.  As more and more
tests will soon be done at home using cell phone apps, home pregnancy tests
are part of a larger issue that we need to address.  In fact, we need to be
working with the developers right now, before the new generation of home
tests and home equipment hits the market.

This is a great topic. I really think someone (who knows more about this
issue than myself) should reach out to their affiliate leadership and get a
resolution written for this for convention. Resolutions tell our national
staff and membership what our priorities are for the year. This is a super
important issue that falls under accessible technology similar to our
accessible prescription label initiative from a few years ago, which has
proven to be pretty successful.

manufactures these tests and write to them about this issue, or tweet about
it to them. You could CC the blind parents' list about any emails you send
to the manufacturers and keep us updated about any response you get.
