Hello Again,

I have a couple of interesting details about this Refuse to Be A Victim
seminar hosted by local police departments, & put-on by the NRA. I've talked
a few times now with Mr. Moore, the Colorado Springs contact listed below.
He's been happy to work towards making the handouts accessible. He's talked
with the woman in charge of the program at the NRA -- about getting the
handouts in a PDF or MS Word format & on a CD instead of in print only -- &
she apparently told him this morning that, "We've never, ever been asked
that before." My first thought in response was, "Well, times they are
a-changin!" Wonder what they might think if more blind people do what I plan
to, and get our concealed weapons permit? ;-)

We need to be more involved and active in our communities. I urge you in
chapters around the state, call your local Police Departments and ask if
they plan on holding this, "Refuse to Be a Victim," seminar in their towns.
If not, refer them to the Colorado Springs PD and ask them to get it in your
town. Then, of course, attend. Show interest & support, and make sure it's
accessible to all. ;-)

Once again, details are below, if interested in pursuing this.

Blessings,
Everett
