Hi Terri,
I am not aware of a chapter near to you, however, we do have an active
chapter here in colorado springs and if it is possible we'd love to have you
join us. Also I work with a fellow who knows of some blind folks in Canyon
City, I will speak with him to find out contact information if y9u are
interested.
Like Lisa said, our state convention is being held here in colorado springs
this fall and we are very excited.
I think your best bet at this time is to get in touch with Jessica Beecham
and find out the information about the at large chapter, if i am not
mistaken, the conference call is on Tuesday, March 26, she will have all of
that informatin for you. If you have any questions I can help you with
please feel free to email or call me. Jeanette

Welcome Terri,
The NFB of Colorado State Convention will be held in Colorado Springs in the
fall. We are still trying to finalize our dates, hopefully mid-October. Stay
tuned to Colorado talk for more details.
Hope to see you there.

Subject: [Colorado-talk] Introduction, and few questions
Hello there everyone,
My name is Terri, and I just recently joined this list. I'm new to Colorado,
and I do have a few questions.
First of all, I am 36. I don't have any children, or pets. Though I love
them both. I am totally blind, and have been since birth.
I moved to Colorado about a month ago. I live in Canon City.
I was wondering, can anyone tell me much about this area? Also, are there
any opportunities for the blind, in this area?
I've been trying to research this, but am not having much luck.
Are there any meetings to intend in the area as well?
Anything anyone can tell me, would be very much appreciated. I'd love to
meet some people in the area, or just in Colorado itself.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to hearing
from you.
Terri
