[Ct-nfb] PDF Accessibility

It could depend on which type of PDF we're using.  Some PDFs have text formatting in them so that text can be copied and pasted out of them, while others have text in them that is locked as a picture file only so that it is a picture of text rather than text itself.  

I use one of the weakest screen reading packages on the market, and it can read the PDFs with the highlightable text.  

Another option may be Kurzweil.

Beth, Is it too much to ask that you put all PDF files into a word format. All you need to do, if you have a scanners do especially with multi function printing etc. My screen reader JFW does not read PDF files. It would be so helpful if you could place your attachments in to a Word format.
