[Ct-nfb] [Ct-NFB] State convention is it still on?

Rich,

You are correct, Amtrak and our governor had just announced some trains from New Haven to Hartford (as well as Springfield and Boston) resume tomorrow, so we’re definitely good for Friday. Amtrak’s computers have them updated in their system; the times from New Haven are:
--8:38 A.M.
--10:30 A.M.
--5:20 P.M.
--7:30 P.M.

I’m not sure if my office in downtown Manhattan will be open yet on Friday (like the rest of lower Manhattan it’s without power), but I will likely be telecommuting during the day in any event. And unfortunately I can’t plan on taking Metro North from Stratford over to New Haven yet, so I’m planning to take the bus (Coastal Link transferring to CT Transit to Union Station) and finally that 7:30 P.M. train. If you want, I’ll let you know if that changes; feel free to let me know if you decide on this train as well.

See you Friday!
Nathanael

      Thanks:

Actually I heard that some train service may start running again tomorrow, don't know what it will include, but I think now by Friday we'll be okay. By the way folks this is what I like a little communication. After all we're all working for the same team here.

        Hi Rich,

Metro North does not run into Hartford and I wouldn’t count on Amtrak being up and running by this weekend.

If you are near a bus station, I would guess that Greyhound is running. I tried calling but their number is busy. You might want to check their web site.

        Janet

I'm glad you guys alright Beth. If by any chance that you find out the trains are running by Friday please let us know by list serve, or perhaps you can suggest another way to get there.

              Thanks

Hi all, the state convention in Hartford is still on, the Hartford area never lost power. Hopefully, the trains will be running before Friday. Prayers and wishes for all affected by the storm. Beth

                      Good morning all:

What's going on with our convention are we still on? I have been out of my house since Sunday evening, although nothing happened here. We were told to leave so I did. As far as i know the trains are not running out of New York, but unfortunately union station has no web site, so I don't know if they're operating. Is there any kind of alternate transportation set up?

                      Rich
