Fellow Federationists:

I have brought some more wind for our sails on our voyage to freedom. If we do our part, equality, opportunity, and security can be ours!

Here is a link to a video clip of some excellent national news coverage on subminimum wages and our fight for equality:

Have you contacted your US Representative yet? That would be Representative Courtney, DeLauro, Esty, Himes, or Larson, depending on your district. We need everyone to call them and write them to ask them to CO-SPONSOR HR 831, the Fair Wages for Workers with Disabilities Act of 2013.

Have you contacted our US Senators yet? That would be Senators Murphy and Blumenthal.

We need them to hear us LOUD AND CLEAR before Martin Luther King Day. This will give them time to process what they've heard before we sit down with them at Washington Seminar. "We" includes you!

If you need any help in doing your part, you may call the office, email me, or visit <nfb.org/fair-wages>.

To aid the blind’s long struggle we have formed the NFB;
To free them from their bondage of workshop and agency;
To give a hand to all the blind wherever they may be;
Our Cause goes marching on.

Yours,

Justin Salisbury
