Thank you Justin and all for your kind words. NFB strives to become a younger and more educated board and we all welcome their success. You are all welcome to come to the Washington seminar in January and the board meeting in January at the Sothern Ct chapter in Milford. Thanks again Beth

Fellow Federationists,
For those who do not know, we held elections at the business meeting yesterday at our state convention, and our Board of Directors now looks as follows:
President: Edward Shaham
First Vice President: Rob Palaski
Second Vice President: Beth Rival
Secretary: Esther Levegnale
Treasurer: Nathanael Wales
Board Member: Kathryn Webster
Board Member: Maryanne Melley
Board Member: Gary Allen
If I remember correctly, Betty Woodward is still a board member but holds a term elected last year that lasts until 2015.
Please join me in thanking our previous board and President Beth Rival for excellent commitment and service. A few people stood up to express their gratitude to Beth at convention. Since I did not have my chance there, I’d like to take just a moment to do mine.
As our President, Beth Rival always made sure we were active. Whenever something came along, she always said “let’s do something about this.” It is my hope that we will only continue to become more active as we transition into a new phase of our movement. As we know, Dr. Maurer passed the baton to Mr. Riccobono while he was still healthy and able to stick around to assist with the transition. I am pleased to see Beth following similar logic, and I know that she will continue to serve us for a significant time to come. Edward has been prepared, and he is ready to work closely with our national leadership to strengthen our movement in Connecticut. He could not have reached this point without Beth running her leg of the relay. Thank you, President Rival, for serving the past six years as I have grown in the National Federation of the Blind. I look forward to what the future, the one which you have helped us build, holds for us.
Sincerely,
Justin Salisbury
