Hey Rob,

I remember how you did a great job as convention committee chair in 2013, so I'm glad to have you serving once again.

I think the resume writing and job development component is a phenomenal idea. It is interesting, it helps blind people live the lives we want, and it focuses on a process.

I think learning about tax deductions is a great thing, but I am skeptical about whether the best way to go about it is to put someone on the agenda to talk about it. Especially since it's money, I think a compact way to obtain that nugget of information would be more appropriate. Maybe having someone as an exhibitor would be a good fit, but I think people could even be well served by a simple flyer or pamphlet.

I also think that the employment related presenter could be more in line with the philosophy that we want to teach. I support the idea of helping people with both of these reas, but I believe the employment related one will build more confidence in people.

Thanks for asking!

Justin

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-and there was no one left to speak for me.

Hello to all of my NFB friends
Speaking to you as the Chairman of this year's convention committee, I was looking for a little input. I am planning to have seminars on Friday afternoon. I would like to bring in a person to help with resume writing and job development. Also, since visually impaired and blind individuals have some tax deductions that some of us may not be aware of, I would like to bring in person to talk about this.

I would like to take a poll to see how many people would be interested in attending.
Please respond to me as soon as you can and let me know if you would be interested in either one or both.
Thank you in advance for your help! And I look forward to seeing all of you at this year's convention on the weekend of November 6,7 and 8
